Encrypted Ideas Notebook
Keep private project ideas in a locally encrypted notebook.
Reading this guide is free. Opening the tool needs an authorised account; public paid sign-up remains closed.
READ IT. TRY IT. MAKE IT YOURS.
One useful step at a time.
Keep this guide beside you while you work. Complete any passwords or private details in the tool, never in a tutorial.
STEP 1 OF 4
Create your passphrase privately
Open Ideas Notebook and choose a unique passphrase of at least the displayed length. Confirm it yourself and keep it safe; PorridgeWeb cannot recover it.
STEP 2 OF 4
Add an idea
Write a title and useful notes. Avoid passwords, payment details and private customer information.
STEP 3 OF 4
Save and lock
Save the entry, then lock the notebook when you finish. The notebook also has an inactivity lock.
STEP 4 OF 4
Export an encrypted backup
Keep a backup outside the browser and retain its passphrase. Test that you can unlock your own backup before relying on it.
HOW YOU KNOW IT WORKED
Check your result.
Your note is available after unlocking on this browser, and you have a backup.
If it doesn’t feel right yet.
Local encryption is not cloud recovery. Clearing browser data can remove the notebook; a lost passphrase cannot be reset to unlock old notes.
Ask for a helping hand ↗Include the step and what happened. Leave passwords, keys and private customer information out.
Saved only on this browser. It is a reading reminder, not proof of completion or compliance.
Keep going at your own pace.
